Fawaz Al-Mubaraki

Fawaz Al-Mubaraki is a Director, Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Investment Officer of Wafra, and an Executive Vice President and Head of the Alternative Investments Division. Mr. Al-Mubaraki oversees the strategic director of the company.  He is responsible for Wafra’s mission, vision and values.  He has developed and expanded Wafra Investment products and client base and orchestrated over his many years at Wafra a significant increase in the firm’s assets under management and profitability.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki has continually emphasized throughout the firm that this steady and responsible increase in assets under management, be correlated to an increasing vigilance and adherence to professional investment standards and conduct, and a continuous dedication of resources and controls and compliance initiatives in the management of such assets.  He has as ongoing dialogue with current and prospective clients and works with the senior management of Wafra in communicating to employees and clients the firm’s strategic goals and implementations.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki is a member of the board of Wafra Capital Partners Inc.  He joined Wafra in 1991, founded the Alternative Investments Division and chairs the Investment Committee of the Alternative Investments Division.  From 1992 until 2012, Mr. Al-Mubaraki also served as Portfolio Manager specializing in European markets in Wafra’s Securities Division.  He began his career as an analyst in the Managed Portfolio Department of the Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki earned a B.S. in Economics from Kuwait University.

Vincent Campagna

Director/Executive Vice President/Chief Operating & Compliance Officer

Vincent Campagna manages the corporate operational, compliance and legal group, which is responsible for monitoring firm-wide U.S. and international regulatory and legal, marketing, strategy and institutional investment funds’ compliance, and risk management initiatives, and together with a senior management team, oversees the general day-to-day operations of the firm, which includes the back and middle office operations, tax structuring, technology and from time to time major corporate and technology initiatives and projects.  He and his team are also involved in providing fund administration services and oversight.  Mr. Campagna is also a Director and the Chief Compliance Officer of Wafra Securities Corporation, a U.S. Securities Exchange Commission registered and FINRA member broker-dealer.  Previously, he was the Director, Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President of Wafra Securities, Inc. (WSI), a broker-dealer.  Previously, Mr. Campagna was also the Vice President and Assistant Secretary of Wafra Capital Traders Inc., which was registered with the National Futures Association (NFA) as a Commodity Pool Operator (CPO) and a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).


Mr. Campagna joined Wafra in December 1993.  He holds a B.S. in Finance and Management from Fordham University and an M.B.A. from Fordham University Graduate School of Business.  He also holds FINRA Series Licenses 3, 7, 24, 63 and 65.

Jeanine MacFadyen

Corporate Finance/Chief Financial Officer

Jeanine MacFadyen is the Chief Financial Officer of Wafra Investment Advisory Group, Inc.  Ms. MacFadyen is responsible for the company’s finances, accounting policies, reporting, operations and audit management.  She is charged with multiple corporate functions, including those of controller, budgeting, and supervision of corporate staff.  She is involved in the management of company capital, together with the CEO and Executive Management.  Ms. MacFadyen works closely with the CEO and the company’s shareholder and also regularly interacts with the company’s financial counterparties and service providers.


Prior to serving as the Chief Financial Officer, Ms. MacFadyen worked as Wafra’s Corporate Controller, involved in overseeing corporate and related accounting.  Her staff is assigned the accounting and reporting responsibilities of Wafra’s subsidiaries and several of the company’s investment funds.


Ms. MacFadyen began as the assistant controller of Wafra in October of 1990, becoming the Corporate Controller in 1993.  Previously, she was employed by Pannell Kerr and Forster as an auditor.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in May 1988 and received her CPA license in May 1990.

Fergus Healy

Senior Vice President

Fergus Healy is a Senior Vice President in the corporate department of Wafra and forms part of the senior management team responsible for, among other matters, overseeing day-to-day operations, including back and middle office operations, risk management, and the administration, establishment and structuring of investment funds. Mr. Healy has more than 20 years’ experience in alternative funds. Prior to joining Wafra in 2014, Mr. Healy was the Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Fund Services Group, an independent fund administration company with offices in New York, Canada and Bermuda. At Meridian, Mr. Healy was responsible for all aspects of the business from operations, financial reporting, infrastructure, compliance and business development. Mr. Healy was a director of a number of Meridian entities and led the management team through the sale of the company to a large global financial institution.  Prior to this, Mr. Healy was employed in legal, client facing and business management roles in the alternative fund space at JP Morgan, Citi and Bank of Bermuda and was based in New York, Dublin and Bermuda. Mr. Healy also ran his own consulting business providing structuring, operational due diligence and corporate services to fund managers, investors and other participants in the fund industry. Mr. Healy qualified as Solicitor in Ireland and holds a B.C.L. from University College Dublin.

Fawaz Al-Mubaraki

Chief Investment Officer/Executive Vice President of Alternative Investments

Fawaz Al-Mubaraki is the Chief Investment Officer of Wafra and Executive Vice President of the Alternative Investments Division.  He has been associated with the Investment Advisor since November 1991.  As CIO, he works closely with the CEO in developing the strategic vision and overseeing key aspects of the firm.  He is responsible for establishing and maintaining investment policies and ensuring that that all major investment initiatives are consistent with the risk/reward requirements of Wafra’s clients.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki is also charged with assessing firm-wide investment activities and performance, and formulating, planning and implementing with the firm’s executive management mid-to-long-term investment strategies and goals.  As CIO, he fosters and coordinates close working relations with clients.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki founded the Alternative Investments Division in 1994 when he created the Investment Advisor’s hedge fund investment mandates.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki has since led the Alternative Investments Division across several alternative investment mandates, including private investments in the financial services industry.  In addition to heading the firm’s CIO office, Mr. Al-Mubaraki chairs the Investment Committee of the Alternative Investments Division and is responsible for negotiating and supervising the execution of its direct investments in the management companies of alternative investment firms.  Mr. Al-Mubaraki also served as a Portfolio Manager specializing in European markets, including financial institutions, for the Investment Advisor from 1992 until 2012.  In February 1985, Mr. Al-Mubaraki began his career as an analyst covering a Global mandate at the Managed Portfolio Department of the Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait (PIFSS).  In addition, while at PIFSS he led a team of professionals to reorganize the settlements department and risk management processes.  After achieving that task, Mr. Al-Mubaraki then moved to the Securities Department at PIFSS covering Europe until his start with Wafra.  He holds a B.S. in Economics from Kuwait University.

Richard Safranek

Executive Vice President/Head of the Executive Advisory & Research Office

Richard Safranek is an Executive Vice President of Wafra and Head of the Executive Advisory & Research Office (EAR).  Prior to EAR, Mr. Safranek served as a portfolio manager within Wafra’s Securities Division where he covered equity markets in the Asia-Pacific and Emerging Markets regions.  Before joining Wafra in 1995, Mr. Safranek served as an investment analyst at World-Wide Investment Co., Ltd., a Hong Kong-based family office, where he conducted economic, political, and market research on Hong Kong and China.  He has over 20 years of investing experience with publicly-traded securities.  Mr. Safranek has an M.B.A. from Columbia University, a B.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University, and completed a Chinese language program at Beijing Foreign Language Institute.

P. Christopher Leary is the Executive Vice President of the Securities Division and is responsible for its policies and strategic direction and is the firm’s fixed income strategist.  Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer of SunAmerica Asset Management.  Prior to that he managed a fixed income group at Equitable Group and was a money manager at United States Trust Company’s Treasurers’ Group.  Mr. Leary has over 32 years of experience.  He holds a B.A. in American Studies from Trinity College.

Paul Mackin is the Executive Vice President of the Private Asset Management Division and is responsible for their policies & strategic direction.  Before joining Wafra, he spent 6 years at Drexel Burnham Lambert Realty, Inc. where he was a vice president and four years at Pannell Kerr Forster, an international public accounting firm.  Mr. Mackin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.  He has been associated with Wafra since 1990.  Mr. Mackin has a B.A. in Business Administration from Manhattan College.

Frank P. Lively

Executive Vice President of Real Estate

Frank P. Lively is the Executive Vice President of the Real Estate Division and is responsible for determining the policies and strategic direction of the Real Estate Division.  Mr. Lively’s experience in the real estate industry spans over 35 years.  During his career, Mr. Lively has directed investments in and dispositions of assets with an aggregate value in excess of $2 billion.  Mr. Lively joined Helmsley Spear Inc. in 1976 where he was active in all aspects of real estate operations and finance, as well as real estate acquisitions.  In 1980, Mr. Lively joined Pannell Kerr Forster, an international CPA firm.  Subsequently in 1982, Mr. Lively joined Stephen W. Brener & Associates as Senior Vice President, responsible for all aspects of the brokerage and management divisions, as well as management advisory services.  Following his tenure at Brener & Associates, Mr. Lively became President of Lively & Associates, a full service real estate firm.  Mr. Lively joined Wafra in 1997.


Mr. Lively holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Manhattan College, as well as a Master’s in Real Estate Finance and Development from New York University.  Mr. Lively was formerly a Director of LXP II, Inc., a real estate mortgage investment conduit, as well as a former Director of LXP Funding.  Mr. Lively is a full member of the Urban Land Institute, and a council member of the Hospitality Development Council.  He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.

Peter Petrillo

Executive Vice President of Direct Equity

Peter Petrillo is the Executive Vice President of the Direct Equity Division and has spent over 27 years with middle-market companies as a private equity professional, consultant, and accountant. Before joining Wafra in 1995, Mr. Petrillo was a partner at Claymore Partners where he worked as a turnaround manager and strategic planner for corporate clients. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Lambert Brussels Capital Corporation, a private equity firm. Mr. Petrillo started his career in public accounting and is a CPA.  He has an M.B.A. from New York University and a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
