Thana Al-Mufarrej is an Assistant Vice President in the Structured Finance Division. Thana has been at Wafra since 2005, where she participated in a Wafra sponsored Investment management training program. Prior to joining Wafra, she worked at Fidelity Investments Brokerage Company as a Financial Analyst. Thana completed her MBA Cum Laude, from Babson college and her undergraduate degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Boston University in both Engineering and Economics.

Christina Emin is a Senior Associate of the Structured Finance Division.  Prior to joining Wafra she was an Audit Manager in the Financial Services group of the public accounting firm Eisner LLP, where her duties included the planning and performance of financial statement audits of hedge and private equity funds and broker / dealers.  Prior to Eisner LLP, Christina was a Statutory Financial Accountant at GE Capital Finance.  Christina is a Chartered Accountant, of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and completed her Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Arts at The University of Melbourne (Australia) with a double major in Accounting and Anthropology and a minor in Finance.

Dina Farhoud is an Assistant Vice President in the Structured Finance Division. Prior to joining Wafra, she was an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where her duties included financial analysis, transactional analysis as well as various firm wide strategic initiatives. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Ms. Farhoud was an Investment Banking Associate at Maxim Group, and also worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. Ms. Farhoud completed her MBA, Summa Cum Laude, in Finance and Accounting from Fordham University Graduate School of Business, and her undergraduate degree, Cum Laude, in Finance and Management, from New York University-Stern School of Business.

Michael Gontar is a Vice President of the Structured Finance Division. Prior to joining Wafra, he was an Experienced Associate in the Transaction Services group of the international accounting firm KPMG LLP,  specializing in private equity due diligence and financial transactions.  Prior to KPMG LLP, Mike was the Vice President of a nationwide wholesaler and founder of a NY based real estate investment firm focused on residential properties in the NY region.

Ann P. Hesselink is a Vice President and General Counsel of the Structured Finance Division. Prior to  joining Wafra, she was Assistant General Counsel with Principal Financial Group.  She is an experienced lawyer, CPA and former corporate executive with a broad backgroundin tax, corporate and international law as well as general management.  Prior to Principal, she worked for a number of companies including AT&T Capital, Young and Rubicam, Coopers & Lybrand and others.  She has a law degree from St. John’s University and a business degree from NYU Stern School of Business.

George Konopsky is the Managing Director of Leasing with over 35 years of leasing, commercial lending,credit and operations experience. Prior to joining Wafra George was a Vice President at Corporate Leasing Associates. Prior to CLA was with Credit Lyonnais in Asset-Based Lending division.

Tatiana Logvinsky is an Analyst in the Structured Finance Division. After completing her undergraduate degree in Business, Management and Finance at CUNY Brooklyn college she worked as a Junior Analyst at Unit 7 – part of Omnicom Group Inc.  Tatiana joined Wafra in March 2008.

Jhoanna Lopera is an Analyst in the Structured Finance Division. After completing her undergraduate degree in International Business, from Pace University she joined Wafra in 2006

Steven Tenenbayev is an Assistant Vice President in the Structured Finance Division. Prior to joining Wafra in 2009, he held several positions at Milberg Factors, one of the nation’s largest privately held asset-based finance & factoring firms, ultimately being appointed Assistant Vice President and Lending Officer. His duties included overseeing a $150 million client portfolio, monitoring client financial performance, and evaluating credit and collateral dilution risk through hands-on field examinations. Mr. Tenenbayev has passed the Uniform CPA Examination and is a graduate of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where he majored in Finance and CPA Accounting.

David Tipple is a Vice President in the Structured Finance Division. Prior to joining Wafra, he was an Assistant Vice President at Citigroup Asset Management, now Legg Mason, a leading financial services firm where his duties included mutual fund administration, accounting and mutual fund analysis. David has nearly ten years experience in mutual funds and financial markets. David received his BS from St. Lawrence University where he was a double major in Economics and Psychology.

Robert W. Toan is the Managing Director of the Structured Finance Division and general counsel for the firm. He is responsible for coordinating Structured Finance's activities between clients and the investment professionals at Wafra. Before joining Wafra, Mr. Toan was a partner in the New York based law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, specializing in international taxation, financial transactions and cross-border leasing. From 1979 to 1998, he was a partner of the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie, specializing in international taxation and cross-border transactions. Mr. Toan is the author of numerous articles on international taxation and speaks widely on international taxation and financial topics. He is a member of the Editorial Supervisory Board of International Tax Journal. Mr. Toan received his JD and LL.M. in Taxation from New York University Law School.
