Ms. Davis is Managing Director – Corporate Services of WFMS and serves as Corporate Secretary for Wafra’s Bermuda entities. Ms. Davis is responsible for the corporate secretarial and compliance functions at the Firm. Prior to joining WFMS in 2016, Ms. Davis was employed as Senior Compliance Officer at Mitsubishi UFJ Fund Services, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG). Ms. Davis was the Chief Risk Officer of Meridian Fund Services (Bermuda) Limited, an independent fund administration company with offices in New York, Canada and Bermuda, when it was acquired by MUFG in 2014. During her 13 years with Meridian Ms. Davis served as the Corporate Secretary for the Meridian entities and its hedge fund clients, established the corporate secretarial group, and was responsible for all aspects of the corporate secretarial and compliance functions, including implementation and execution of the compliance and risk framework. Prior to joining Meridian in 2001, Sharon was the Treasurer/Accountant at PRP Performa Securities Ltd, an independent investment management firm in Bermuda from 1997 to 2000. Prior thereto, Sharon was the Corporate Administrator and Corporate Secretary at Exxon Financial Services Limited, now ExxonMobil from 1986 to 1997. Ms. Davis has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry in the corporate secretarial, compliance and operations fields with over 15 years in alternative funds. Before working for ExxonMobil, Sharon worked for Bank of N.T. Butterfield, and Mello and Jones, now Mello, Jones and Martin.
