Elías Scheker Da Silva is a Director at Wafra, responsible for global fixed income. In this capacity, he has been the recipient of numerous industry performance awards including being named Best Islamic Fund Manager by Euromoney Magazine and Best Global Strategy by Global Banking & Markets. He has also been a featured panelist at various conferences such as Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East.

Prior to joining Wafra, Mr. Scheker Da Silva was a portfolio manager at Vanderbilt Avenue Asset Management, where he managed fixed income portfolios for high-net worth individuals and institutional clients.

Mr. Scheker Da Silva earned a BA in Economics from Michigan State University with high honors and is currently an MBA candidate at NYU’s Stern School of Business. He is a member of the National Association for Business Economics.
