Mr. Esterhuysen is the principal contact for Wafra Bermuda and is responsible for, among other matters, overseeing day-to-day operations, including corporate and related accounting. He has over 15 years’ experience in the asset management industry.

Prior to joining Wafra Bermuda in 2016, Mr. Esterhuysen was employed as Director of Fund Services at MUFG Investor Services (MUFG). MUFG acquired his predecessor firm, Meridian Fund Services, where he was employed as President and served as a key client relationship manager responsible for all aspects of the Bermuda office including operations, financial reporting, infrastructure, and business development. He commenced his career as an auditor and worked for both Deloitte in Bermuda and KPMG in South Africa.

Mr. Esterhuysen received his Charted Accountant designation in 2005, and in 2009 he was awarded a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (Honors) degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
